Science Day (Feb 2018)
Will kindergarten children be interested in science? Of course, they will be if science is presented to them in the right way. MCC Public School celebrated Science Day on the 28th February and the theme was “Science in daily life”.
The teachers conducted simple but interesting experiments which kept the students attention focused on them. One experiment was blowing a balloon and showing that air can occupy space and has physical properties.
Next empty balloons were filled with helium which was formed by mixing vinegar with baking soda. Then just for fun, colour was added to the vinegar and baking soda and the children enjoyed seeing colourful bubbles being formed.
Then batteries were put into a simple motor and the students were shown how fans work.
The students not only enjoyed the various simple experiments but also understood the concepts really well.
